Instead of using bevelled washers on the outside of the drivecup, and a knurled ring to tighten it down, it uses the normal method of a stiff spring affair which sits inside the drivecup. The drawback at the moment is that you have to pop the driveshaft out to adjust it, which isn't realy a problem, but they have asked for the adjustment to be able to be done without doint that.

I actually think the academy SB Sport buggy body is one of the nicer ones out there. There are other bodies that would win my uglies award. 2004 durango anyone?

For any of you guys running on surfaces where a slipper would be useful but you don't have it, what settings on a esc give a less punch effect? I have a Novak C2 right now and I have 3 configurations I can use. I was using the stock setting which had a whole lot of torque, I was thinking of trying the modified setting.

Modified setting would use a higher drive frequency, I can't realy comment any further than that. If Novak got an online manual I will have a look.

<EDIT> just read the manula, your best bet is the Modified setting, as getting the pit-wizard wouldn't do what I wanted to do anyways, glad I never bought one of them<EDIT>

I'm asking for offers, or trade for SB Sport or some 4wd buggy up to date, i.e. XXX4, MR4BC, etc (like anyone would trade me for one of those )

If I had a spare Academy, I would trade you for some stuff or a T4.

I see no problem with taking out the center drive shaft and adjusting the knurled nut for the slipper. The knurled nut fits directly into the third bearing, which I'm glad about not to lose this support.

Will let you know what I think ASAP

well... I'm selling my T3, but I'm also accepting trades for 4wd buggy, so I may end up with XXX4, Yoke, or just money, and the money will go to a SB... nobody seems like they wanna get rid of the SB, so I'd doubt anyone wants to trade for it...

How much for the t3 and would you be interested in a trade: the roller for a JR-XR3 fm transmitter and receiver?

Woody, how much did they soak you for it?

I got my shocks redone yesterday and they feel better pack wise. I went to #3 pistons up front, and 40W all around. I also went down to silver springs in the rear. Still waiting on my front spring kit and my replacement arm. Should be in today.

I got a question that one of you guys probably can answer. I remember a post earlier about having to trim the knuckles as there was some binding on when you cranked down the front wheels. Thing is I am not sure where this binding is occuring and I don't know what to exactly trim. Anyone got a pic of a description they could post that would clear this up.

Hope to post a race day review.

Make an offer, and I'm really only looking to trade for a 4wd buggy, but I know that's not really gunna happen unless it's beat to hell! I'm hoping to get at least 80-100... It needs a body tune up though!

If you decide to buy it, we can meet at Family hobbies and I could give it to you there, so we could forget all the shipping and shtuff.

You know, threeEwes, I would trade you for that, but I want a 4wd buggy and I know I'd get attached to that radio.... oh what the hell, could you send me some pictures to [email protected] ?
Thanks,
Jeff

(I've really been wanting an XR2, so an XR3 is just better!)
