Not only gear diff, but also spare gears and gaskets not all but in some shops, looks spec-r can't supply enough items.
All in stock http://store.hkshobby.com/index.php?...56879020543bde

thanks.
I initially built it with a small shim on both sides. After a run or two, it felt like the shims were binding up the gear mesh a little bit. I took them out and ran in in the stock configuration with a 4.5, 5.0. and boosted 6.5. The gear mesh on mine is very tight- even with the stock shims.

Been running my w/a 4.5 on several differnent tracks for a month now w/no problems.
However, I have spent a considerable amount of time on my bench messing around with it.
FYI: I've found the easiest and (so far) best way of bullet proofing the diff is to just add longer pins to the stub axles ( to lock in the gears).
Just 1mm longer will work. This keeps the pins from entering the recess for the orings.
The only trick is to use a sharp Xacto knife to remove .5mm of mat. from both ends of the pin slot on the gears.

Which brands carry the longer shaft pin?

Thanks.

Just a quick question...

How do you go about ordering online? I couldn't see on the website where to order directly?

Thanks

I tried shimming one of my diffs with 0.1mm on each axle and it bound up the gears. I'm not sure how people are building them with additional shims.

Hobson, Got mine from EGR mart. Worked out at £34 pounds all together with a spare gear set and spare gasket set and delivered to the UK...

I think its possible to use an extra shim when an extra gasket is used, i cant see why you would though. Mines been fine as standard so far.
