ok thanks I just wasn't sure about it someone had told me the losi drivers where running them on extremely high bite carpet track to help soften the car a little and I was just curious I had read a post some where you said youd posted a gear ratio chart somewhere in this thread was it just for 64 pitch or 48 pitch and do you remember what page it was on ? I'm real excited about racing on the carpet never have before it's going to be kinda new to us for a while they say the setups are a little different. it's gonna be a new experience for some of us I thinkj there is about 4 guys here that ran a bunch of 12th scale stuff on carpet but not to many with T/C's what would be a good starting sey up hodges one plus I'll be running probably more rubber tire than foam. I usually run a lot of stock. and not to much mod but sometime I get a wild hair not to many of those left though LOL.

re wild hairs I should have said not to many of those left and they are starting to turn grey LOL
Chassis set up, 2
My understanding was that their is not a kickup or anti-dive adjustment location; but that kickup and anti-dive were the result of changes to the blocks holding the hinge pins in place.

RE:CHASSIS
I THINK IT WILL BE FINE . I THINK I WOULD BE MORE CONCERNEDABOUT ROTATING WEIGHT THAN STATIC WEIGHT

I know what your saying about the launch off the line I've been racing since the early 90's I dunno it was kind of a stupid question to ask but I saw a pictre one time with the drilled out spur like from a xxx4 and someone had told me that I was just kind of curious about it and couldn't understand why someone would do that. anyhow like I said a stupid question. I appreciate the info still working on studying setup sheets and trying to figure out what setup to try. out there is several plus I may goahead and try some mod which will require us to run foams. the track owner has decided the stock class gets to run rubber and the mods on foam which imo will make it hard to decide which class to run I enjoy stock and I guess once we get the carpet layed down start practiceing more with mods Thanks for the info

crazymechmow, go to my site at www.gearchart.com and you can generate a gearchart, rollout chart, speed chart for any car.
roll out
what is roll out
You can think of it as the "final" final drive ratio. It takes into account the diameter of your tires, in addition to the final drive ratio.
that wouldnt be as big of a deal on rubber as compared to foam right
to figure that out it would be fdr x tire size right??
to figure that out it would be fdr x tire size right??
That's correct. It doesn't really matter since we all run the same size rubber tires and they change diameter very little over their life span. Foam tires, on the other hand, can vary much more.
To calculate:
tire diameter x 3.14 ÷ final drive ratio = rollout
BTW, tire diameter is measured in inches.
