Tom- at the Roar Nats on ashalt with the Reedy 19t I was running 28t or 29t on it with a 90t spur. Maybe you need to go up a few teeth on the pinon. What size track are you running on?

I'm running 41/128 with 64pitch with the quad mag. Super fast motor. Try around like a 5.8 I believe final drive.

I'd say your burning comms cause your way undergeared.

If you're too far undergeared, the motor will spin at max rpm way too long and get very hot. It'll make you think you're over geared because of that.

Those Reedy 19t make you tink you are crazy for putting that gear on them but they work. I was getting 3 quality runs during practice at the Nats with that gearing (5.80). Think it will make your motor work a bit better for you.

Let us know how it goes with it.

Yep, I can get a full days racing on the quag mag 19ts with that gearing. Sweet motor when tuned right. Brahma makes some awesome ones.

Spray your bearing out with motor spray. Keep doing it until they spin really good. Add a drop of a light oil to each one and spin them again. Put them in the car and they are good to go. I run the black belt kit without cutting any teeth off and it spins super free. Hard to beat kit bearings.

The black belt kit is the first thing you should do. Then, like you mentioned, keep the bearings good and clean and keep the belt only as tight as it has to be so you don't get skipping under hard acceleration.

I've heard of it, but never bothered to mess with it. When the belt gets broke in its pretty awesome. I havn't found a need to do any extra to it.

Hey David? What gear were you running in 19 turn at the Tulsa Invitational race? Seems like I was running a 31/128. Of course it was a D5 can Litespeed.

I ran mod, but on a C2 type 19t I ran between a 37-39 depending on the track size.
