Default hop ups

Carbonfibre3,
I would get the trinity bumper brace and the matt francis 2 pc. foam bumper. the stock bumper is weak and will break front shocks with goods hits.

From my experience with the XX4, I'd suggest getting the aluminum motor mount clamp as well.

Well I just finished grinding down one side of the chassis, gonna go to the gym in a little while, but I'll try to finish the other side today as well, just want this project to be over with The one side came out pretty good, I am a perfectionist though, so I do wish I knew someone at a machine shop that could do it for me perfectly...

Default same here

i know what you mean, while "redesigning" my SS chassis, a cnc or something would be nice, dremeling and filing is just too much work . My next project is to outfit my pro 3 with a custom chassis. If only i had a digital camera.

Penguin RC does some custom work, so I contacted them seeing if they could do anything with our car.

Does anyone have some sort of pattern for cutting out the chassis? Please email me if you do or know where to get one.

Default another

i've again, found a mysterious problem with my car. When i hit the gas, my cars perfectly quiet, but when i turn and hold gas on, i hear a very distinct rubbing or grinding noise. it doesn't do it with the tires(tryed foam and rubber) off, but when i put them on it does, and i see a scape mark in the tires, but i don't see what would be scaping, i polished and cleaned my dogbones, and relubed them, it is my spool, i don't think so though.
help me please.

Default rubbing

it might be your hub axles not centered correctly or the set screw could be loose or stripped.

Make sure you have the correct set screw that holds your hinge pin in place on your rear hub and castor block. If you used a droop screw for one of the set screws then it might rub on the rim. Other then that with wide front tires and depending on the upper shock location your tire could be rubbing on the shock and spring when the wheels are turned.

Default oops

i thought it might be that since my cars on a stand, there isn't any weight, so i took it outside, it ran quite, nice, but when i was making a lap in my driveway, i lost power, and my motor area started smoking! I broke a belt, and it all is now rock hard, waded up in my belt tensioner.

The only pattern I know of is the one you draw. I'm gonna see if I can have a few chassis' milled out, anyone interested in them?
