im trying to find a piston liner for my m-rossi rex pr350 that should have heaps of power to get around.

You definately need to get that motor modified. It's pretty decent, but as always if someone is about your level of skill and has a faster motor they will leave you behind.

Nope, on the front you have a one-way and on the rear you have a solid axle, so no need of messy things nor diffs to fiddle.

I have the same problem including the clicking sound. I keep checking for a rock or something but there isn't one. I have some Acer bearings and they help alot but still not as free as the 960.

100% sure your problem is that the brake pulley or brake hub is worn. Take the shaft out and remove the pulley/hub assembly. The pulley will be loose on the hub.

Now you just have to figure out which one is worn. It could be the pulley or hub. If a new pulley is tight on the hub then you are all set. If a new pulley is loose, then you need a hub.

In a pinch I've wrapped teflon or electrical tape on the hub before I put the pulley back on.

the clicking sound is most likely a mis-aligned belt pully. the belt clicks as it rubs up on the pulley's flange.

If you put the belt around a tire, and put this in the tiretreuer, take some sandpaper, and take just a little material away from the outside of the belt, till it doesn't shine anymore.... this helps a lot in getting roll into your car....
If the belt is already installed, try to sand it while it is in the car.... should be possible when wheels are spinning on your starterbox......
