Tire choice for carpet, no traction compound allowed
#16
Joel,
The track is the winter league hosted at the Newmarket legion. They run spec mini (basically box stock) and 17.5TC. I ran my M03 last year, but plan on running my TA05MS this coming winter.
The hot tire setup is a bit bizarre. Tamiya 26mm soft compound radials with thin 24mm molded inserts. Seems to flex like crazy but grip pretty well on the cold untreated carpet.
I'm thinking of running 26mm +4 offset wheels (200mm width RCGT body), so I'm looking around for 26mm options as well.
If I use a 190mm body, I'll likely stick with the Jaco blues or get one of the options listed above.

How about the best threaded tire for carpet with no compound.
Thats our rules.
