We don't need more classes. Onroad is fine with 1/10th TC and 1/12th pan, 10th pan and F1.

1/12th touring car?

Just like the old Xray T1M, Corally Mini Assassin, Yokomo MR4-TCM?

Or get an ABC Genetic, HPI Cup Racer, Atlas Beat etc and add TC tyres?

Right on the money there Gaz.. Although in what you can see from that pic, it appears to still have original Genetic wheels still.

So it'll differ from the standard Genetic in what way?

It shares the same hex size as the genetic but the car is totally different chassis design , and how it drives too.

From 2009 the manufactures notice that this class attracted new guys into the hobby after the genetic and the cup racer showed up in the US, for its scale looks and balanced performance which is healthy growth for our hobby. A lot of newbies got intimidated by the class you have mentioned due to high level of competition ending up with their lost of interest.

This class can serve as a portal for the newcomers to be welcomed into our sport with confidence and enjoyment, events of the TTR class will be supported by manufacturers working with your local track. This could be the next Slash Class.

Thanks for you opinion thou

Actually we do.... because all of the classes you listed with the exception of F1 the cars look like blobs and doorjams.

We need something like RCGT for 12th scale and TTR seams to be it.

Those of us running VTA might disagree with that. These bodies are cool though and would probably look cool running along side VTA cars.

If the 1/10 touring class are "shapeless" blobs then lets change the rules on bodies... not try and create a whole new class

It seems to me electric struggles as it is because there are so many classes and rules... seems pointless to me to dilute it further

This makes too much sense.
I miss the days of ROAR enforcing Realistic body designs for 12th scale racing.
Frank Killam did it right.

This is a 12th scale touring car class not 10th.

There already exists a 10th scale "realistic" body series--> RCGT, TCS, VTA.
