Body looks awesome! Might have to get one for mine...

The mirrors are fine mate. They are moved back on the real rally car along with the driving position - better weight distribution.

Thanks Fred, the front wheel drive cars have been a lot of fun and the scale bodies are a bonus! I'm actually thinking about what body I want to do next

Ok so I got a question.

I just finished building my FF03. While building the diff, I made sure to put it in the right way (by flipping it) etc as per this forum. I did not over tighten it like the manual instructed. I tightened it just enough. After completing the build, when i would rotate one wheel with the front of the car elevated, both wheels would spin the same direction very lightly. I just took it out for the first test after doing some elevated throttle holding one wheel at a time (to break in the diff). I took it out and within 2 minutes, I could give it a considerable amount of throttle and I would hear it spinning but the car would be moving very slowly. Whats up with the thing? Is the diff too loose that its just not moving now? Tell me what you think please!!!!!

Don't let that diff slip, it'll melt down in a quick minute.

Very gently tighten the screw til it's fully tight (don't damage anything by crankin on it) then back it off just a tiny bit, 1/8 to 1/4 turn or so.
You can do this by pulling out the dogbone and gettin to the screw thru the outdrive cup.
Mr. O posted this earlier.

It should not slip like a clutch at any time.

I set it down on a surface that I feel is gonna have more traction than any where I may run it then I make sure it will not slip on that surface.

If it slips it'll die.

how does this fair against 4x4 touring cars? I absolutely love the design and the fact that its different. I run in the modified touring car class. I know this is a loaded question. regardless of its racing prowess I think I may have to get one just for fun!

Hey Fleshgeardude, really glad it worked.
Have seen so many diffs get smoked, lots of guys like to use em as a clutch or may not know how to set em up to not slip and still be smooth.

Don't forget to hit all the tracks with that thing.
Westcoast
Cal Raceway
TQ Raceway (carpet )
And in case you didn't know, the Tamiya track is open on Saturdays, it's free and there are a bunch of guys that are dialed with these things there.

Both Tom's Exiv and Tom's Levin body shells are being re-released. I think even the JAAC's Accord is being re-released as well among with Peugeot, Volva, Alfa Romeo. Hoping for a strong comeback for 1/10 FF class.

Of the Tamiya bodies available for the FF-03 today, is there one or two that is the preferred body for TCS racing?
