Default F1 Tire inserts

I messed up my trg tire inserts while trying to glue them together.

I was going to try and cut down an old set of t-car inserts but they are
a bit thin.
Is there any local sourced material that I can use as a replacement?
I was looking at pipe insulation but not sure how it will hold up.

Also what is the best glue for butting the two ends together of a foam insert (ca was a flop as you can feel the glued line through the tire).

Man I hate this type of insert....

Try an office supply store. They're more than likely to have packing material, like foam and bubble rap. The foam might not be exactly the same, but it should work. You could also try the post office for the same stuff.

Contact cement may work better for you.

I use this stuff to glue foam inserts:

I just need to confirm the tube when I get home.

It smells a bit like contact cement and you apply to both sides of the foam strip then press together. The joint stays flexible. I use it for gluing HPI foam tire inserts. I have some inserts held together in some super radial tires that I've run with a 6.5 motor in a TC and the bond has not let go yet after about 6 months. It's not possible to feel where the inserts were joined either.
