There will be a lot of hopup parts available in the coming months. As to what they are and when they will be released, I don't know exactly because I wasn't paying attention hehe woops. But I did hear input cups, aluminum hub carriers, umm yeah I wasn't paying attention...I might have been busy looking at eye candy at the time

Steve, I miss running at socal but I've been busy with projects and when I get off of work, I've been very lazy as of late. I believe that I should be able to start coming back for Tuesday night national championships very soon but will probably run stock (less stress ).

I think you know the tamiya layout well enough that you could stand to miss a saturday of tamiya fest for racing at socal... if you really wanted to that is

Default drive cups

Anyways, that night I can up with an idea to use the spare diff joint rings that came in the kit. Just slip them over the drive cups. They fit nice and tight. You can even add a drop of superglue to them. But if you do, your main shaft main be alittle hard to take out of the cups. Here is a pic....
Kilruf, are you still running the cups with the diff rings over them? I bought the Team Bomber carbon shaft and decided to try this fix too. Having any problems with it? did you put CA on it to hold it in place or did you leave it dry? It seems to be pretty tight without the CA, but when the rotation starts, i don't know what to expect

I have run my car with the outdrive/diff rings over the cups since uhh I broke my first and only drive up. And it's still holding up with no problems. I did superglue the ring on the rear drive cup... but I didn't do the front one. I don't think you really need to glue them. Just press them on after you have the shaft inside the cups. This'll make life easier if you want to remove the shaft. And yes... it is sorta hard to put into the drive up with the ring on. I'm gonna wait for the new cups to come out and try those though... but til then.. this mod works for me with no worries. Oh and as for the rotation... I'm not to worried because it's not like an outdrive where the shaft will move up and down, forward or backwards like suspension shafts. The main shaft is stationary (except rotation and slight chassis flex) and just transfers power from the rear gear box to the front gear box.

You'll be lucky. I don't see thet happening. They would be admitting they have a problem.
