I have it on my Yokomo. It is nice and I do like it a lot. Made a dramatic change for carpet. Easiest car to drive for me to date and I have had them all. Problem is he doesn't sell the chassis to people in the states. I lucked out by having someone sell me his in the UK.

I was wondering when we'd see something like this. "Molded" carbon fiber has been the industry standard in F1 for years and I assumed it would only be a matter of time before it trickled down to us.

Can you imagine how stiff a XXX-S would be with one of those? wow!

It's a shame the maker of these won't sell to the US. Isaac, do you have any idea why he won't sell to the US? Is it just the import fees or something like that?

I emailed them asking them why didnt ship to the US and here is the answer. So im sure if you got a couple people together like a group buy then Im sure they would send them.

Dear Eric,

a little bit of both. We sell the tub chassis through a customer of ours
Andrew East who paid for the mould to be done and hence the parts are his to
sell only, and unfortunately, just being an ordinary person and not a
company owner he didn't want (or need) any hassle with selling anywhere
other than in the UK, where we are both based. He has mentioned to me in the
past about enquiries from the USA. If you are really interested in buying
one I will talk with him and see if he will allow us to send a set to the
US.

Best Regards

Stephen Walton

Yea I was told about the hassle thing also. I paid like $175. Most of that was shipping as the guy got over on me with that. Needless to say though I'd do it again because having everyone drool over your car is priceless. Plus it also performs as well as it looks. No tweak, very stiff, very exotic looking and very easy to drive.

I tried to buy one when i had my SD... yah they hate americans for some reason. However, they use a hotmail email address which is owned by americans. Go figure.

If the person who owns the rights to that chassis does not want to share his design, then I suggest design your own chassis. Fibre-lyte will make it for you at a nominal cost. Then you can share it among other people.

Us americans will probally steal the design (assuming he didn't copyright it). Or alter the design making minor changes here and there and mass produce it for a lower cost.

The CF tub chassis is really a work of art!
But, how does it compare to the CGM Tub aside from being light and the blin bling factor?
