Default O'Donnell Turbo glow plugs

Hey guys,

when I was racing in the States, the O'Donnell turbo plugs were the plugs to have.
Very high quality and very durable.

Now, I never see them mentioned here when plugs are discussed.

Have these plugs changed? Aren't they good anymore, or why is nobody running them?

With the current "glow plug confusion" I thought I'd give 'em a try again, but they are not easy to get here.

So, before I buy a bunch of them, I would like to hear your opinions.

Thx.

i having been using it for the past 4 years since i had bad experience on NR. Good quality and durable. But if you can't find O'Donnell, you should try the latest OS.

I would say the 97t is more of a 6, and the 99t is more of an 8.

i threw an OD plug in my 353'09 on the weekend for the first time and the thing ran like clockwork

i put a 99T in thinking it would be more like a nova 7
are you sure that the OD plugs are that cold?
i was running the OD plugs in offroad and was using the 99T in place of an RB7 plug there

can someone link me to the older thread about these plugs as im really interested.
i have been using the OD plugs in offroad for ages because of the lack of life span in the RB/Nova plugs

the thing i dont understand is what is the difference between onroad and offroad plugs
if you go to amain hobbies the 77T is listed as a 1/10 plug, the 97T is listed as a 1/8 offroad plug and the 99T is listed as a 1/8 onroad plug
that doesnt make much sence to me

you can get them in Germany from www.dark-products.de

They have them all in stock.

But which OD plug is best for 1/10 Nitro touring car with 16% Nitro?

The Novas are all bad since 3 years

Servus Florian,

ich habe heute mit Dark Products gesprochen

Die 97T ist für 1:10 und die 99T für 1:8.

Gruss,

Stefan

Question, I'm running on road with an OFNA .12 JL red dot with 20% nitro.

Which O'Donnell plug would be best, 97T or 99T ot the 77T?

Thanks.

Guys in my club have been running that combo for acouple of years, and they tend to run the 77T plug. If your temperature is hotter, or your track has a long straight, then goto the 97T.

Track is 150 straight away with lots of technical sections. Temp usually 200-215 degrees.
