AMGRacer - I don't pick on anyone and I really try to be subjective and impersonal. I only edit or delete something if it's completely useless, vulgar, or repetitive.

Having ten different threads for the same vehicle ends up making it harder to find what you're looking for, so I really like to try and keep everything packed into as few threads as possible.

Aaron,

I'm just sitting on my NT for now....November 7th will be its first race. Anyway, I took it to the track this weekend for some guys to check it out. They liked it a lot! Anyway, they all recomended different heads and shtuff for the CV. I got several different answers regarding the head.

Some said the Odonnell/dynamite head is the one to run, others said the MIP head is numba 1. There's also a local company here that makes heads but I'm not sure about them.

Then I forgot the name of it, but a bunch of people recomended a different air filter than the stock one. What filter and head do you think I should run?

Thanks!

I run the stock air filter. Losi has new prefilter foam that works much better.

When I ran CV's I had an O'Donnell head on them.

Is that the white filter that drake has been running for awhile? Also do you know if Losi is going to sell filter oil? I am running low on the RB stuff I have been using.

Thanks

I race with a cv .12. I'd get the odonell head, or the duratrax stage II. Basically the exact same head. But the duratrax one uses a long plug.

Casper - That's the one! I haven't heard of plans for filter oil. Go to a motorcycle store and get Maxima FFT. It's good stuff and comes in a 20 oz. bottle.

I forgot about the oil.....I recently cleaned the filter foams but didn't re-apply the oil. Is this necessary?

Hahahaha.

Yes, it's very necessary. Otherwise, you can kiss your engine goodbye.

mafia - I posted that earlier.

beetle - eBay is a good place to check for OD heads. They can be tough to find so you'll just have to search for them.

As far as I know, OD isn't selling engines, they're just for his team drivers.

Try www.ultimatehobbies.com . They get odonnell heads on a regular basis. I know they have a good selection of .21 heads but am not sure about the .12 heads. They will be able to order one for you if they do not have them in stock. Call 714-921-0424 since there on-line system stinks right now. They are in the process of improving the web site though.
