Default Need Help Choosing An Engine

I am in the process of a complete rebuild of a Kyosho MP7.5 Sports and i need help choosing an engine. I am dumping alot of money into this buggy so i want a nice engine for it. I know its an older buggy but rebuilding it is a pride thing for me. I am leaning towards the Werks B5 but cant find any reviews on it. Any suggestions?

IDK - I never used it or even seen one for that matter. Not saying something wrong with the Werks, but I rather not comment on something I know nothing about.

You said, "Any suggestion?" Thought you meant different engines. Sorry
Those are engines that I like....

B5 is an awesome engine for sure, but I went with an Alpha Plus engine instead. It has been SERIOUSLY impressive thus far! If you can get your hands on one.....I would grab an Alpha Plus ;-) They look kick ass, and perform kick ass......and so far reports have them lasting 10+ gallons which is darn good for a $200 engine for sure!

For a Buggy either go with the F850 (Red Head) or the Z852 (Green Head). You won't be disappointed. Huge thread on them here as well...

OFNA JL with a hand fitted piston $200.00.......this is an amazing engine and IMHO offers the best bang for the buck in the price range..forged billet piston not cast like many of the Taiwanese engines... ....The engine has smooth power and a amazing top end...with my hand fitted piston the engine will need almost zero breakin...it can be track tuned after about 10 minutes of running.... For $250.00 I offer it as a hand fitted modified, and it will be the fastest .21 you have ever seen, the top end is absolutely ballistic...... Also the JL has to be one of the most user friendly engines I have ever come across, the tuning window on it is massive....even a rookie can run this engine with confidence......

Default Lots of great ideas.

I tend to like Novarossi engines. For 250 bucks the p5xls is great. Now the b5 is a nice engine too. and the Force engine is really nice too...

I would look at the Ed Mod JS Engine. It's only $30 more then the B5 and reports are saying it is comparable to high cost motors. They offer 3 different models. The stock ($230), the Race Prep ($270) which is broken in, and the Mod ($330).

Here is a link to the motor:

Dreaux, The Alpha Plus line of motors are made in Taiwan by Alpha Plus9as far as I know and to keep it simple,) The Alpha line of motors, including the new CRF Alpha, are made by Orion(as far as I know and to keep it simple.) It's a bit confusing I know. Any questions just ask away.
