Default New Competition Electronics Power Supply

CE is now offering a new compact 23 amp power supply (based on the #1223 by Samlex). Just ordered one directly from their website for $99 plus shipping. Direct buy is the only way they are selling these puppies. Check out their site.

So now I can leave my heavier Pit Bull at home...No need to bring its muzzle to the track either; although, some people think I should be equipped that way...he, he...

I got one of the Samlex PS and I love it!!

$99 is a good price. I would be lost without mine.

Are you able to run lathes, etc off of this power supply?

No. I run a lathe off of my GFX or a 4 cell battery that's in my tool box.

Only seen that feature on expensive power supplies.

I just checked out the CE website. I think I am going to buy it. Would anyone know the dimensions of the unit? Need to make sure it fits in my case

As described to me by CE, it has the same physical dimensions as the Radio Shack unit.

These are 2-5/32" H x 7-5/16" W x 7-13/16" D. That's a nice flat top which hits me as very useful. Weight is only 3.37 lbs.

Tres has already done an add-on faceplate for one to dress it up to match a GFX charger. Pretty.

I´m using the original Samlex 1223 and it´s awesome. It has a temperaturte controlled fan inside but it never started running as the Samlex never went hot. Compact size and low weight. Thumps up.

I bought mine from these guys for $89.95.

http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamps/3747.html

10 bucks less for the exact same thing...

You can also go to Radio Shack and pick up the same supply for $99.95.

CE's history of customer support may be worth the extra few bones though.

I would go for the 1223 Samlex as you could use up to 3 chargers or additional tire warmers at same time. The 1223 is using an additional fan inside and the 1212 not.

I believe any Samlex 1223 model power supply is actually 12V and 23A; so, they are all the same...Just different labels by who ever sells it and maybe different attachment point connections on the back.

CE confirmed shipment via ground was made to me yesterday. Should have a good see in a few days.

What is the warranty on the CE? I know the Samlex has a 3 yr. warranty.
