I am 99.99% sure that it will not work. But someone may know of a system that works.

hell my neighbor who has been in the hobby about 7 years said that a pull start is just a waste of time and he siad " muscle you dont have " lol i mean im skinny but i can pull ion pull starts i just heard they tend to break easily and stuff like that so what can i use and if someone can tell me how to fit it then please let me know or if an electric start would be better or what i can do thats not pull start

No you wouldn't be able to *easily* adapt the Traxxas onboard EZStart system to your vehicle.
SEE POST BY Boomgagem
However, if you have the engine tuned reasonably, you shouldn't have any issues with the basic pull starter.

If it's the Vertex VX-18 you can use this...

You'll need a roto starter, or drill to use it.

If your neighbor has been at this 7-years and can't make a pull start work without breaking it; then he's a retard.
Granted, sometimes they fail due to dirt intrusion into the 1-way bearing inside and occasionally the flat coil spring will jump out and unwind itself.
BUT, for the most part, a pull starter shouldn't give you much, if any trouble so long as an engine is tuned ok.
3 to 4 short pulls and the engine should hit-off.
Anything more than that and you either have 1) No fuel; 2) no spark; or 3) your needle setting are way off. But don't go whacking the mixture needles around til you've checked the first two.

This is everything you need for an electric start: http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/...rts/70111E-KIT
Unfortunately they are out of stock. I have a wholesale account at Redcat and can piece together that entire kit for about the same price as it costs for it all in one package. The drill is in stock, the proper backplate is in stock, so all you need is a 7.2V battery with Tamiya plug and a charger. Let me know if you want any help.
I can be reached at [email protected] or through here on PM.

I would maybe leave the pull start on till after break in and see how you like it. A lot of times rotor starts/drill starts/etc are very hard on the one way bearing and will cause problems in that department. Plus with a pull start you don't need to carry around a drill everywhere when you need to start you car. Just keep the glow ignitor in your pocket and if it flames out just walk over to it and quickly fire it up. If you have the vehicle tuned right and everything is right with the car a pull start with work without a problem. When most people break pull starts it is usually because they are pulling them out to far, only pull the pull start out about 6-8 inches. I wouldn't recommend using a drill to start a vehicle. Unlike other rotostart systems the drill with not stop turning over the motor if it becomes flooded or other things and damage the motor.

Try a starter box. Is there a flywheel opening in the chassis?
