I'm not saying you're wrong, but who knows if roar will ever change it. I really like the VTR mounting style vs the traditional style. It's much easier to glue and if you need to change foams out, it can also be easily done.

I doubt they will change it, but most tracks don't really run to exact roar specs.

Yes I know the VTR is illegal in roar rules, but I'm saying that most tracks do not run to exact roar rules. Most still allow the VTR tires to run.

Who knows if that will start happening here in socal. I really like pro-lines VTR tires, but AKA is still #1 in my book.

I'm still wondering why they would do something like that.

Good thing club racing in So Cal is still for fun. If VTR's were illegal at a club race, wow that is a serious club race

i think you may find that the VTR is only illegal in ROAR. the rest of the rule books allow them. im pretty sure that they are ERFA legal

To make improvements on products there has to be changes in the product. I don't think the cars of today would fit into the rules of 10-20 years ago. So one company has to be the one to start something new. A couple years from now most likely ROAR will allow the tire and something new will come out. I am glad Proline went and made the tire anyway even if it is illegal. If not it would be up to ROAR (Or someone else) when new innovative designs come out and not up to the company itself.

I picked up some recoil tires at the nitro challange I haven't had a chance to run them yet but they look cool. I do know that the vtr 4.0's did not pass tech at the nitro challange. Most local club races allow them or at least they don't say no to them.
