Good luck with the event. I hope that it runs smoothly. Unfortuantely I will not make this one, as much as I really would like too, however I can not be in two places at once.
May the best mini driver win.
Regards,
Calvin.

Warm-up event is Sunday 14 March starting at 10am.
This is the day after the Mini 1000 so u can get plenty of laps in.
Sunday will be our normal club day with normal classes running.
Grip level will be high after the enduro.

Hi There,
Can any one on here give me some more info on where the track is located in Wodonga?
Also where is the better place for accomodation?? is it better to Stay in wodonga or go in to Albury?
I am looking at Heading Over if i can get everything to fall in to place.
Cheers

Martin,
You have to admit the hotel wasn't that bad, especially with that excellent pub across the road.
I can honestly say that I will not make this event. It seems to be that most of the events I would like to participate in are on in the first half of the year. By the time I get back in six months I am sure I will be more of a liability on the track than I am now.
As I eluded too, have a great time at the event, make sure the mini crew get there donuts/pancakes and Latte's and all will have a great time. Otherwise there maybe some grumpy old men.
Later,
Calvin.

After some serious 'race testing' we have decided on the control tyre combo for the Mini Nats.
With 3 drivers testing, 3 M03's and also an M05, all on widely differing setups and different drivers as well, we felt that we had a good basis for the choice.
The combo chosen is
RIDE 3035 - Frt
CROSS 36 - Rr
Spice Med 5.0 inserts
Cross Rims.
The combo was also tried by some other drivers at the track, and there was unanimous agreement that the choice offered a good stable car, with excellent all round grip and good steering.
In fact the track record was broken by one of our cars with this setup.
The control tyre combo will be handed out at the track, and drivers must mount/glue their own tyres in sight of event officials who will then mark them.
You will be allocated ONE set for the weekend only. If you can wear out a set of these tyres in a weekends running then there's something wrong with your car!
Extra tyres will only be allocated in special circumstances. You may purchase additional sets for practise purposes if you wish but these can NOT be used for racing.
Pricing is yet to be finalised but it will be VERY affordable. And only one set for the weekend means a cheap weekends racing for all without the necessity to bring along truckloads of tyres.
And....don't forget of course, the Wodonga 1000 Mini Enduro on the 13th March, with the Pre-Nats warmup meeting the next day. The perfect opportunity to check out your setup.
