Hmmm...I dunno. Looks like a rock eater to me. The wide and exposed counter gear and the middle (idler?)gears look hungry. One little rock would stop it in it's tracks. Even clean, prepped and sealed asphalt track give up lot's of rocks. Yikes.

you would think that, but when they ran the xevo chassis at the mini nationals in Australia, there weren't any problems i heard of with gear stripping and its gearbox is completely open

I'm building it right now, i'm really impressed, it builds even better as the Photon. After my FF03Pro-built from last week, this kit is even more easy to build and very clean.

I will shakedown the car next saturday and if it drives a little like the FF03Pro i would be very glad. The FF03 drives -after a few minor adjustments- very good and gives lots of fun. I gave a few drives a run with the car and they were all smiling during and after the drive!! This must be a new class next season!!

rc-mini just received our shipment of the new TOP Sabre FWD Touring Cars, and the side of the box is very revealing...

Check out what's coming.

For us Mini freaks - Sabre Mini FWD/RWD/4WD!

And for the Touring Boys, a RWD option as well?

Anyone had ran their Sabre's against the FF-03's? Really keen to know how they perform.

In an attempt to raise the gearing to be competative with the FF03's, I have fitted a 3 racing gear set to my Sabre. The quality of the gears is not fantastic and there was some binding. However, it does raise the rollout and should allow me to achieve similar top end speed to the FF03's.

Hi new to using sabre, got to say it is fantastic to run. Am running 13turn, 60Amp esc.

Regarding the gearing, is it similar/same as FF03 front gearing? (sorry if its a newbie question)

Is there somewhere in Sydney that is currently running fwd class?
