Guys, there is nothing wrong with the MF1 at all. Losi is just doing a typical refresh of the original stadium king. It was introduced in 2000, so its 4 years old already. With associated doing a total revamp of its line of cars/trucks, losi naturally followed suit with small modifications to an already winning truck. Most of us that race at club level tracks wouldnt even notice the changes, but that being said, we all still have to race against other new losi's and are kinda forced to keep up. I'll just wait for R/C Car to do a write up on it, (last time they listed the necessary parts to do a conversion of a BK1 to a BK2) and then upgrade my exhisting MF1 to a MF2. I figured it out before, after reading the article it would cost about $80 to do the mod's on a BK1, so the truck shouldnt be that too far off.

hobbipro - It's very possible that I could be doing that write-up..
Losi is a racing company..when their stranglehold on the top is in jeopardy, they step up. The new truck will follow the buggy into the winner's circle as it will be THE stadium truck of the new generation. The new truck has a couple important changes done to the MFE1 that will make the new truck awesome.
And it's gonna come with all the goodies..including ti-nitride hinge-pins!
shortygy - Nothing yet..

The difference between the BK and the BK2 was great enough that I had to buy me a new kit. The diff was the #1 difference, but even the handling department had a whole new feeling, and of course the greater level of adjustment. So far its done so much better than I could get my previous bk to work. I would say, if you have the money, sell the mf and get the mf2 unless youre already dominating truck or have no $$ like me

Are the good?
#36
You gotta talk in complete sentences dude!
#37
Are the tires good??
#38
Hehe there we go!
The tires were raced for the first time at the Losi race in Florida, with great results.
That's basically what the team is planning on running in Vegas for the ROAR Gas Nationals in two weeks. Man, is it gonna be HOT!

I'm more than likely going to pick up one of the new trucks. Can't really get the 4wd class to pick up big at the little local track down here. I know the body probably handles well, but you can't deny that it's FUGLY! Are they going to go with yokes instead of CVD's?
#40
Yes, the truck will come with dogbones and white yokes (something we've been testing for a while..there's no need to boil them anymore).
#42
I don't think there's much of a noise difference really, but dogbones always feel better than CVD's through bumps, and have more sidebite as well.
CVD's have more forward bite and make the car or truck square up faster, but feel terrible through the middle of the corner, and make the car unstable on rough sections of the track.

I agree, I only ran CVDs on smooth layouts, and run dogbones almost 90% of the time due to slightly rougher track conditions. I also do feel dogbones are more consistent than CVDs

what is a CVD??
do i have one on my XXXT??
Where are they on my truck if i have them??

CVD's are driveshafts made by MIP, characterized by the round bell-shaped end on the axle side of the shaft.
Dogbones have a plastic yoke.
