The ones using this setup here tell me there is no need for a reg. I am kinda afraid.

Will use the Airtronics FHSS 3 receptor and two Fut 9551.
I wouldn't advise running a Lipo without a regulator if you don't have some high voltage servo's and receiver.

To me the risk of blowing a servo or receiver just isn't worth it.
The Xceed regulator is perfectly reliable, have been running mine for two years, and it is very small and light weight.

Cool Lab co1

Is there anywhere to get the kit from? As I have asked around and been told there was only limited kits.

Here you go:

http://www.capricornrc.com/LAB%20C01...0rel%201.3.pdf

I will check with Capricorn if they can place a link to the download section on the Lab product page.

You could try Kamikaze:

Hi everyone

I sold my NT1 and I'm assembling my new LAB.

DS, you are the guilty

I found some little problems in the assembly, but nothing important.

Hope will be a fantastic car on track. I'll keep you informed.

Haha, so I'm in trouble now with the Hudy's I guess?

I'm pretty sure the car will be fantastic on the first day out, at the end of the day you can start setting some personal best's.

Well... my english is very bad.

I found nothing important, just 2 roll center plastic inserts (rear lower arms) hard to put in the aluminium.

Front lower arms very nice with the ARB, but to get a free movement, I had to sand just a little the lower arm, the round part where you insert the screw with the arb mount. The 2 pins from the lower suport bumper, I had to sand 0,2 mm.

Finally, I had to sand again the shims used to setup the offset. A had 2 shims 0,6 + 0,6 mm for each wheel. Just in the front train, that was too much. I sand them to 0,5 + 0,5. That was good to get the bearins rotate smooth. In the rear was no problem, so I put 0,6 + 0,6

These are two things which still need correcting in the manual:

Step 1.0 Shockabsorbers

Shock absorber length, for me it was impossible to get the shocks to the 59/60mm length.
If I want to set them to 59/60 the ball end was almost completely off the shock shaft.
I ended up setting the fronts to 56.5mm center to center length and the rears to 58.0

Step 10.0

The manual states that you have to insert a ball bearing into part number two, but there is no room for this bearing.
I guess this is still from the first kit’s when part number two was still alumunium instead of the plastic it is now.

Yes, these are the three things people come across during the build, these are all pretty minor and make sure you don't have any slop from the start.

Yes! same I found with the shock absorber length. Impossible 59/60 mm length.

Also, the manual talks about 7 different roll center positions, and with the black inserts, I found just 5 positions.

And the M3 screw that comes in the clutch bag is too short

Despite this little things, the car looks amazing

TMF made some very nice pictures during the build of his Capricorn Lab.

This is the link:

http://picasaweb.google.com/11692313...NnsxN6OhvjCBg#

It also includes some pictures of the various parts being weighed on a scale and compared to some NT1 pieces.

Ok, edited the post, in The Netherlands we have a female driver, so you never know.

Yes, all current kits come with the 550 shock oil and 150K front diff oil.
They probably found out this worked better during the year.
