Come on, dont be hard on serpents!
#441
The portion between the threads and ball, I guess you could call it the neck, is thinner which does increase the steering angle. It's so thin that they compromised weight and made them out of steel so that they wouldn't break too easily. Everything else is the same size.
#442
Just want to add; I would use steel pillows only at front, and use ultralight pillow balls(the ones that came with original kit)at rear because they are 1.4grams a piece, and I cant really see any durability issues with ultralight ones.
#443
Yes, exactly, thanks for mentioning that. This is how my car is setup as well and I haven't had any problems with durability in the rear.

Have started with the build report on a dutch rc-site, will post an english one here as well at the end of the week.
Here is the link for anyone interested:

I finished the car, only have to make a body for it. Doesn't look like I will be driving it any time soon though, the weather is very bad, busy with work and very busy with school.

How did the race go?
The engine is very good, were you scared as well when it hit second for the first time and started it accelerating like an 1/8 scale?

Finished the car's setup today, was a real treat as everything turned out beautifully.
I'm also very impressed with the quality of the shock absorbers, these are the best I've ever build.
Perfectly symmetrical in both bound and rebound and already very smooth.
Had to add 20 grams to the left side to balance the car, I added 15 next to the battery and 5 behind the engine mount against the LR bulkhead.
As you can see below the cornerweights came out really good, this is with equally preloaded shocks.
350.6 vs 350.8
457.5 vs 455.4
Total weight of the car with a Lipo battery, low profile throttle servo, 10 Ti screws and the wheels shown in the pictures is 1488 grams. Without body off course.
But pretty respectable for a stock car.
Now only if it would stop raining.
This weekend I have the last round of our nationals and I don't want to go there with a car which has never been run before.

melted clutch shoe
so running my car two weekends ago and everything has been, fine car was runnin good and all the sudden it started to sound lean and like i stripped a gear, so i pulled in shut it down and when i looked one of the flyweights was brokenin half and hanging out from behind the allu. plate that the clutch bell sits on and the shoe was melted. ??????? i havent changed the clutch setup since ive been running the car it has never hit real hard like there was too much gap or anything it like the shoe wore down so much that the flyweight was able to slip out and jam everything up.
any ideas?????
the clutch was set as per the manual running 0mm on the spring tension

Glad this Thread is "Buzz'n"
Hey DS Motorsport,
I'd revise the Top Deck Brace like Xray does so you don't schread the Front Belt!
And Musti72, I too have the LAB-E01 (non WC version) w/2662 pipe set, this Engine puts "The Stupid" into "Stupid Fast"!
Also, my Car weighs 1690 grams w/Brass Batt plate, NiMh reciever pack and Body installed!
