Well the manual was in japanese with barely any pictures..

So i built it and fit the lipo like my 3racing f109.

I didn't know i could fit it across the chassis
actually that might make sense as i need to replace the whole upper plate to remove the lipo , haha.

I'll try to fit it across, just not sure how i will attach it, maybe tape like my pan car.

is lipo across before than inline for the weight balance and car handling ?

Mounting it across does better for weight transfer. You can get soem rubber o-rings at the hardware store to mount the battery. Its what i use for my 103.

Had my first race with the TRG09 today in socal, very happy with it, the car is way better than the 3racing f109.

Ran f103 foam, trying the upgrade to the f104 to see if any improvement.

One note of interest, I am VERY EXCITED to announce that Alpha RC F1 has signed on to sponsor the F1 exhibition class at the Champs this year!!!

Any commercially available F1 Chassis: Alpha, CRC, Tamiya, 3Racing, Cross, Kyosho, HPI, TRG, etc. is eligible. It will be a 210mm max width, foam tire, 2-cell Lipo, Handout silver can class. Looking at the F1 threads here on RCTech, it should be KILLER!!! Can't wait!!

CRC Pink or White rear tires(1/12 donuts mounted on Tamiya F-1 wheel),CRC Purple or Black fronts. Associated .022 front springs with Buds diff lube for damping, CRC 10,000 on top disc, 30 wt losi shock fluid and Tamiya short orange spring on Tamiya dampner with 2 holes. Rear droop about 2 MM. Make sure diff is very free!! Too much tension and car will spin out when power applied before apex of corner, too much slip and diff rings will be junk in a few runs. Also, I use USA 64 pitch spurs as there are more diff balls. Best of luck with this rare car!!!

Alphacat - many thanks. Look forward to getting this in my hands on this car. Now if I could only find a way to get an Alpha car!

Don't be worried. You guys looked dialed out there. Time to get back into it. Besides, the real F1 series has me jazzed.

don't think stick packs will fit across the chassis due to the side links

you can fit saddle packs to the rear though
