A while back Fredswain mentioned that the wing is a little too low on the 210. Since I can't sleep lately I've been thinking we could probably use the B5M wing mounts to move it up "into the wind" and out of the the way of the shock tower. I will probably mess around with this idea, but here's a link to the wing mounts case anyone else wants to try:

RDRP does make some nice aluminum wing mounts for the 210, which raise the wing by +8mm!

Part# for The MM mount is RDRP0107 and for the RM mount it is RDRP0108.

With Surf City coming up here in SoCal, I need to work on setting up my V2 to be as light as possible. What Durango parts can I purchase for the car to keep the weight as low as possible? Also does someone other the Durango make a turnbuckle kit for the car? Any help about option parts (still Durango made) to make the car as light as possible for stock would be appreciated.

I'm afraid of using Alum wing mounts, WAY too stiff. Broken wings and towers is what I would expect using it. Are you running them? What's your experience?

i dont think the wing is too low its that the rear tower is to high if you change to the v2 tower its much better

Tresrays tower is 2mm shorter then the plastic tower if that is what your looking for.

OK then instead of being an inch to low it is now 7/8 of an inch too low. The wing should NEVER EVER be down low behind anything. That's why cab forward bodies are 100% aerodynamically worthless and do absolutely nothing. The front shocks and towers are so terrible for aerodynamics that no clean air gets to the body. All front down force is from front tower and shock aerodynamic drag. Most of the rear wing does nothing. It's shear size puts some of it into usable territory. Raise it up over tower level and then use a smaller one.

I have ran the RDRP +8 since I picked up this kit back in December and I have broken one rear tower but it broke where the shock connected so I don't think the mount had any effect on the failure. Nice part, I got it because I hate wonky bent to the side wing mounts.

If you raise the wing too much you are messing with your CG and subsequent chassis roll.

DIMEC or DIMEC20 chassis.
Plastic RR suspension holder instead of aluminum one, you wont have the LRC though.
Using the gear diff is an option to lighten your drive train, it's lighter than the ball diff and can be lightened even further with lightweight outdrives and composite gears. Aluminium axles are another lightweight drive train option.

That's certainly a convenient excuse but 100% unfounded in this case. You are already running an overly heavy, under performing for it's size wing. Yes it does something. Just not muchfor its total area. I'd rather have a smaller wing up where it works well and get the benefits of it than keep it lower. I want to run our old Bullet Racing wings. They were graphite and had no side dams. Very light and surprisingly impact resistant. They were also stiff. The design allowed you to carry more downforce into a corner than any other wing. The stock 210 wing and location would have exactly 0 advantages over it. Especially in its horrible for performance location. The stock wing performance certainly matches the "benefits" of cab a forward though! I guess if one placebo works another one will too.

Any one know of a shock end that works other than the dimec ones. Ive pulled both of mine out. Looking gor threads in the hole found none. It seems like the v2 ends are molded too big.

+1 for alternate shock ends. I think associated shock ends might work but then you need to use their cups….I think the springs work ok with associated cups. I don't have them to check anymore….
