Hey guys...getting ready to mount some tires. Are you guys running the stock white foams in your tires for outdoor tracks or running a closed cell foam like AKA reds? Thanks for the advice.

It depends on the track and tires you're using.

I've been going back to open cell foams more often, but like Randy said, depends on the situation. The tracks I run on are usually med bite at best..

Getting back into RC. Have an SC10 which I love and thinking about racing mod buggy again. How good is this car as conpaired to a B4.1 with the +8 chassis? Forget the 22 I could never get it to work like I liked. Honest unbiased opinions please.

I have both and my B4.1 +8 is dialed in. I got this about a month ago and it has so many tuning options that to be honest I am still playing with it. I have it almost as dialed in as the B4, I just keep playing with the different motor set ups. The 210 is heavier and to me feels more responsive. If I had to pick one I would say the 210 just because of all the tuning options.

Pretty much have been using Proline Closed cell foams front and rear with great results. Square Fuzzies, Holes Shots, or Suburbs on the rear, and Proline 4 row, or Scrubs . Tires softness depends greatly on surface, like previously mentioned.

Well, qualifiers are over. I'm in the Stock B-Main.

Was on pace for a 16 lap in Heat 3 but made one mistake, and that lead to another, etc.

Was fighting mid and exit corner push all day. Finally pulled some rear toe (4.5 to 4.0) and moved my shorty pack all the way up against the servo. With a little brake it rotates pretty good now.

Also, 75/34 on a 17.5 HT Revtech is pretty nice. Don't think I'll be running a 69 anymore. Loving this spur. Running the Tresrey AE slipper plates and shaft, along with the J Concepts Silent Spurs.

One thing that caught me off guard, was all the tires I brought, I'm not using. Running JC tires front/rear that I bought at the track.

Funny how my local track conditions changed so much this weekend I had to rethink my tire options.

Why dont your normal tyres you run there work this weekend? That kind of don't make sense to me.

But I noticed you said that on the 410 thread as well ?

Yeah, I have experienced something like that before..Our track is normally med bite, wet black dirt, and I wouldn't know what to do if the traction ever came up a lot I found out. We had a good number of entries, and the day was breezy, and kept the dust off, decided not to water for some reason, and boom, we have blue groove, I had soft tires (not for long), and had to scramble..
Good luck Auto, there any bumps?
