Most of the time it's measured above ride height. You set your ride height and then lift one end of the car just until the tires are just touching the surface then measure it again. The difference is your droop. If you're running 5mm rider height and you want 4mm of droop, when you lift the car it should read 9 on the droop gauge. Then once you have it set to the right height, use a droop gauge like the Schumacher Aluminum one of the Hudy one to make sure both sides are exactly the same.

Sometimes though you'll see some of Teemu's setup sheets show him measuring it with the chassis flat on the surface and measuring to the top of the axle.

You mean like the graduated one from Losi,Assoc. etc.? Seems to be a little more precise that way. Assuming measured to the bottoms of the hub.

It is more precise that way but not all of them measure the same. So me using my Schumacher gauge may not read the same as your Losi one. So using the method of checking it above droop is more universal and just use the droop gauge itself to even things up on both sides.

Makes sense to me I used that method, now just need to check to be sure things are equal. I will be doing a little stock racing this weekend so freeing up the car the way we discussed is even more important, we will see how it goes.

That picture is of the new heavy duty oneway. He probably has the older, less beefy one-way.

Man that was quick
worth the $20 he's asking?
I hope to get a actual photo of the one he is selling.
What would it take to rebuilt it?

thanks.

I've never had to rebuild a oneway. Personally, I'd just get a new one. They go for about $70 for the new heavy duty one. Plus if he's saying it could use a rebuild, it may have a blown out oneway bearing and you'll probably end up needing a new one anyways.

I've run my original one way since the car first came out and I haven't had any problems with it. I may be one of the only team driver's that has run the crap out of his oneway

Don't you actually have to race to run the crap out of a oneway?

Guys, I just got myself a Pdub bumper and was wondering how you fit it?

It's so stiff compared t the stock one that it won't compress when you do the upper and lower bumber mounts together. Do I have to cut that section?
