If you ran "my" LiPo you wouldn't have that issue!!!!
Our track is med high and tight track (carpet)...I was (am still) using the Jonas Viskafors Carpet Rubber Setup.......it said it is for MOD motor, but actually was very nice and easy to drive on 13.5 or 10.5 as well. I was not aware of that setup untill the fellow Mi3 driver used it and made some low 11s lapper....and I have been using it and do little adjustment to fit my driving...give that a try.
P.S....the only adjustment you have to do since you are running LIPO (like me)...the Center Track Rod, you have to use the 2nd hole from the FRONT and use the short carbon steering plate in order to give clearence of your LIPO. Or the steering plate's bottom screw/space will rub against your lipo while turning...I used the above setting and it still drives good. I've adjust the front (softer) and generate more steering.

So I received 2 pretty good questions I said I would address on here...
1. How do I mount "MY" LiPo?
2. How do I have "MY" GT mounted?

I use a custom PVC LiPo tray made by a local friend and a PPD EZ LiPo battery tray weight under it to keep legal weight
My electronics are normal, but I do have my spektrum receiver hiding behind my speedo, but between my belt and the controller.
