Hey guys. I've got a GTB in my Mi-3. Where's a good place to mount the cap? Only place I can find is behind the motor, but I have no idea how to secure it with anything that won't melt.
Thanks
Chris

zip tie it to the motor wires

I ran mine under the top deck and secured it to the rear right bulkhead
I wasn't running LiPo then though so I think you'd have some clearance issues if using LiPo

Run the wires along the chassis and next to the motor mount. Then out behind the motor. Shoe Goo (or as Adam calls it Show Goo ) the wires and the cap to the chassis.

The Mi2EC is basically an evolution of the Mi2. The EC came out in early 2006 after Teemu won the 2005 Euoros with a modified Mi2. The EC is pretty much a copy of the car Teemu ran. There's some suspension geometry changes, the drive train is different, and the biggest change was the shocks. The EC shocks were far better than the Mi2 shocks. In fact, none of us ran the Mi2 shocks. We all ran TRF shocks before the EC came out.

Had great time at the Winter Carpet Nats in Gathersburg, MD yesterday. Unofficially called the "Mike Kring going away race" it was lots of fun.
Team Shumacher did well with Tim Getchell putting his Mi3 in the Rubber "A" main, with privateer Steve Walter and I running the schuie frieght train in the "B". I ended up "BQ" and lead the race from start to finish. After watching the carnage in the "A", I'm kinda glad I was in the "B"
Wes Lion made the show in foam, but dont know where he ended up.
Big thanks to Mike Herald Jr for the advise and shock tips
I'm off to Hawaii now, but rest assured I'll represemt well over there. I'll try and make Vegas, but no promises

I still run TRF shocks on my EC... Best ones in the business if you ask me.

The Mi3 shocks build/bleed easier and the shock bodies have a harder longer lasting coating than the TRF shocks. In every other respect, bore piston diameter/ thickness, hole diameter, seal package, etc. the are identical to the TRF shock so all in all the Mi3 shock are better.
I've bought some trf shocks for my mi3, building them was very hard if u compare them with mi3 shocks it looks like I wasted some of my dollars but it's before racing with them I hope they'll proof themselves on track...
give me some tips about how to set rebound...they had 100% rebound than I've pushed the piston half way in put the bladder on top clean the extra oil and they have 50% rebound which i want but not sure if i did it wright or not :\

Remove the quick clip and check the rebound. I like to see ~3mm rebound.
Chances are you will get 3 perfect shocks and one with too much rebound. Just keep rebuilding until you get it right.
The reason the Mi3 shocks come out right every time is the small bleed hole in the side of the cap. It lines up with the joint between the bladder and the shock body and lets the shock bleed perfectly every time.

It was a good race day. Tim had a good run for his 1st time running rubber tire on carpet. We all worked good together with setup help. Sorry to see Kling go from the area. Good luck in the islands. My car was good, but the driver was over driving it.
Thanks to Mike Herald Jr for the fine tuning of my setup.
