I believe Racer X is a regular at the Reedy Race. Since he said below that he is working on a diff set up since the Reedy Race has a no oneway rule, I guess he is going to be attending again this year.

gfoster- The front roll center mod raises the front lower arm inner hinge pin to the same level as the rear. This will add mid and exit steering to the car. If you raise the rear, that will take the steering away. So, if we were to lower the rear, the car would get more steering. Just as the Losi guys are doing.

Two ways of raising the front roll center.
Trim a piece of chassis material for under the steering bellcrank/hinge pin mount and the front pivot block. This raises the front lower hinge pins 2 mm. Then you will have to trim the alloy servo saver tube 2 mm to clear the upper deck and remove the 2 mm plastic washers from the inner steering turnbuckle ball stud( use a short ball stud in its place).

The other way is to get the Fireblade rear alloy toe blocks, 0 and 3 degree. Use the 0 for the rear of the hinge pin and the 3 for the front. The holes in these blocks are offset, so fit them so that the holes are up. You will also have to cut the steering bellcrank/hinge pin mount off. This will maintian the same bellcrank geometry.

Hope this is clear enough. Good luck. It is a fun modification to do.

To all that are going GOOD LUCK at the Reedy race!

I wish I could go, but I promised the family a trip to Disney World.

Make Schumacher proud! 8)

OK, Guys I need more steering from the apex of the turns on, I donot need anymore steering going into the turns. The Mission tuning guide is a little too ambigious for me, they tell you what the changes make, but not were on the track the changes happen. Where as my Losi XXX-S manual does, however on some issues the Schuie manual says the changes will do the exact opposite of what the losi does. I will post my current set-up as soon as I get home........

Phats: If I had the oneway in, that would be the case, but with the diff, the turn in is what I would rate as 'good'.

Damon: No problem and good luck...

GFoster: Be careful with the front blocks (if you use the Fireblade parts). They can pull through the chassis in a bad crash (just don't have any bad crashes...lol). Other than that, the raised roll center is pretty good. I use the raised plate now, however.

Impact: I'll offer some suggestions once I see your setup...

Hey guys when you make the front roll center mod with the Alum Fire Blade parts you will want to make a little brace that goes over the front two pices so you dont break the front of the chassis in a real hart hit. I will hopefully get some pic's of the brace that I have on my car over the weekend.

And good Luck to all the guys who where able to make it into the Reedy Race, do Schumacher proud and keep the streak alive in Stock well now its 19 turn.

For front caster I am using Yokomo caster clips which are a little different compared to Schuie units, one full clip and one half clip are the same thickness as 2 schuie full clips. I am using 1 small infront of the mount. I will measure this later once I get my guages out.

well if yokomo doesn't hire half the racer in the world to basically run interferrence for a few of their drivers...... or maybe Losi will buy this worlds this year......... IF the drivers with THE BEST cars win we all know who will be celebrating!!!!!!!

.........AND it WON'T be a plastic car!!!!!!!
