About glitching with EX10.
I tried in moving around my personal transponder in the car last pratice day to see if i got any glitches. I had it up front, on top of servo, on top of upperdeck over the reciever, and on the battery hold down bracket on my SD. The tests resulted in no glitches whereever i placed the transponder. The only thing i noticed was that when i had the transponder on the upperdeck the hits where significantly (sp?) lower, the timing chief said it must depend in the transponder is mounted higher and the signal must go through both the upperdeck, electronics and last the bottomdeck..
The test result was that it did'nt glitch wherever i put the transponder
*edit* the other electronics i use is KO PDS-2343 digital servo and LRP Quantum Comp. 2. AHRS mode

there are many version of M8 that has high speed responce system (which is called M8-SS and M8-V3), but they aren't available in US.
did you guys know that? M8 mekes faster responce by it self(I mean TX),but FUTABA 3PK and KO helios makes faster responce by their RX, so that's why 3PK needs to use HRS receiver or helios needs to use RF receiver with digital servo.
M8-SS or M8-V3 can use with any FM receiver.
anyways,,, I personally use 3PK Titanium Black version now and love it !!
but in my opinion, nobody still cant beat M8, if you look at Technology .

i was asking myself the same question a few weeks ago and i bought a helios in the end..

The HRS is a different kettle of fish...I thought it was marketing hype myself initially...until I started using it...it makes a difference.

Settings available
So, is all setting options in Helios available in 3PK and M8 and vice versa?
Or which has the most?

Does it matter.....????
Does anyone use all the functions...besides the basic?????
Only good for bragging rights....and even then it is pretty pointless because you end up looking stupid when someone ask you about your mega function TX....What do you use Program mixing for? and you answer....."I don't know!!!"

Doesn't M8 have some kind of function that will increase the response of steering and throttle? It shoud be very similar to HRS and etc......
M8 Champion Edition doesn't say anything about high response. THey only talk about the "linear feel" and with their high speed servo and you have high response.

DTM is right on this.
How many of you with Helio try to change the throttle and steering setting with the connectivity kit?
So far, I haven't touch it yet.
Here is my opinion about Transmitter:
M8 has the best feel and the problem is the crystal. (you can only use sanwa)
Ex-10 with large grip and wheel extension has alright feel and I can't seem to find the feel like the M8 steering
3PK the fravel for the throttle is just a little long for my taste. Alot of Japanese complain about the cold weather problem with HRS system.

In addition
the helios is lighter than the 3PK and M8 plus it has a better balance, just look funny!

It's not about having the most, it's about having what you need.
From a racing point of view, I find that all I need is:
* Glitch free.
* Comfortable, good grip.
* Easy to use (no good, if the manual is nessecary every time you need to change things)
* Servo centering and reverse.
* EPA.
* 80% travel for forward, 20% for brake.
* Off-set / expo for throttle.
* Balance for steering.
Memory can be nice, if you have several models. ABS can be handy on slippery tracks and/or when running one-ways. A micro size RX is also nice - enables sligthly better weight distribution.
Radios like 3PDF, Presto and MX-3 fit most of the above.
