I also run it with a Kimbrough medium size servo saver and mount the balls to the back side of the saver and push the servo as far forward as I can but keep the steering links straight. It helps keep the car from scrubbing as much and puts more weight on the front of the car to try and help balance.

I just built my xii link and I was wondering if there are any parts I need to keep in my box and what tires work the best for all around use?

Extra front end springs, side springs, steering blocks and front arms. I have only broken a steering block on my car in a year of racing/testing. But those are some that are safe to keep.


For tires in stock Lilac/Yellow or Black/Yellows are easy to drive and work well at most tracks. If its really low bite then maybe pink rears and magenta fronts.

I am using a brushed motor in my car and the instructions say I need to shim it for proper balance but doesnt say how big or how many shims?

You may want to get the ali brace for the front as i found that this car has the most steering of a 1/12 i have had.

Is anyone running a JR 3650 in there car?

Yup! Went from KO 951 to the JR 3650. Slightly smaller but it performs as well as the KO which suppose to have more torque and speed.

Did you have to make any adjustments or did it bolt right in, as I think it is a little smaller.

i never use the servo mounts instead i mount it by double sided receiver tape. It acts like a servo saver to absorb vibration and shock. i'll check to see if itlines up with servo mounts

Tire size? Boosted or non? You're probably gonna need a much smaller spur for 17.5, for starters.
