the first thing that I would say to do is go out to your
local track the guys out there will more than happy to
help you out. it's hard to say how to set-up a car and not
know the track. and like some have said that is your best bet!
and that looks like a nice truck but don't start putting a lot of
cash in to it trying to make it faster just save your cash and get
a more competitive race truggy if you like racing have fun

The mammoth is just a pan chassis monster truck with a wing slapped on.

The truck is way too wide and the fuel tank isn't even legal. I could go on and on...

I will have to agree....a mammoth is no truggy.

And your Axial should have more then enough bottom end power...that's about all they got going for them to be honest.....if you dont have the power you feel you used to have....i would look into the clutch or drivetrain as something is binding or not functioning properly if you dont have enough bottom from a Axial .28

Go ahead: go on and on. The 150CC tank is legal. It IS wide and not at all the best truggy out there, but it is a truggy. Or please define a truggy for all of us who are dumb then!! PLEASE enlighten us............

Here, I'll answer the guy's question rather that telling him he doesn't own a truggy:
Less teeth on clutch bell = faster acceleration and lower top speed.

So if Traxxas slaps on a center diff on a Revo and calls it a pro kit, it's automatically a truggy? Exactly what XTM did with their truck...

Let's see... The turning circle is just hilarious, and the thing weighs a ton. Build quality is sub-par as Philips head screws are used everywhere on the truck and the plastic is brittle. It's just a total pain to work on.
