Default Slash Brushless Upgrade through Traxxas

Hello, I was contemplating doing the "Power Up" deal with traxxas where you send in you stock 12 turn motor and ESC and they replace it with a brushless system for $130. Has anyone does this? How does it work. I see you have to send them your motor and ESC but was wondering if the whole transaction could just be done at a local hobby shop. Thanks for the insight!

It can only be done directly through traxxas. Honestly if your going to spend $130 your better off buying a new Novak Havok system, and keeping your old motor and esc.

$130 sounds like a rip off for a VXL system and you dont even have the stock stuff as spares.

Get a better system and save your stock stuff like mentioned above. Get a Havoc, Sidewinder, or even an EZRun system. They are all better than the Traxxas system.
