Are you talking about the esc. The esc has the cut off not the pack.

Jeese a little attitude from this guy.. I believe you are mixed up Mr. Drive.. lol the esc is what cuts off the lipo before the minimum voltage... If you have a pack that does it then that must be one pricey and unnessesary battery pack....

that correct on the pack. But there were some reports of issues with the pack cutting out. I think it was called the Lipro pack .

I bought the trinity lipro 4500 when they first came out. They are good for my son in a stock traxxas slash or a rock crawler, but not to race with. I seems that they dont like the on throttle off throttle of racing and they are only 20c

The C (discharge rate) really does not matter if you are not running brushless.

I don't see the point of a built-in cut-off. So if you want to buy multiple packs each time you are paying extra for the cut-off, when you really could buy normal packs and a single external cut-off. And then what do you do if the pack dies or cut-off dies, replace both pieces even though one part is still fine? And then when you upgrade your ESC to one that has a cut-off already what happens there? Do you use the one in the lipo pack or the one in the ESC. Just doesn't seem very effective or useful in the design.
