Ok I thought maybe just start a thread for Vintage r/c since there aren't any here. We can discuss on old out of production R/Cs,restoration,where to get parts, trade or post your vintage r/c pics. Hope this will bring up the all the sweet memories and help keeping the old R/Cs alive. Anyway if the response is not that good will just delete this thread.

Lets start rolling, I got Tamiya Grasshopper,HotShot,Pajero,Frog,Falcon...all in trashy condition
currently interested in collecting the Fast Attack Vehicle and Mountaineer and saving up for it very hard

Vintage Tamiya Still The Best

In my collection currently:

3 Fast Attacks - One from the fist day I own it like 20 years back and 2 NIBs
2 SuperChamp - 1 Fully Restored and the other NIB
1 HotShot - Fully Restored
1 Hornet NIB
1 Wild One - Restored
1 Optima - Restored
1 Ultima - Still Restoring

And the list goes on, just to mention this few. Love my vintages.........nothing beats them........

Hi,

I have a Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid. Considered vintage? Still looking for parts to restore, especially the steering arms and kuckles, universal dog bones, etc.

My past cars were Boomerang, Yokomo Dog fighter and turbo optima, before taking a looooonnnnggg break, and i am now with HPI Pro 3.

Restoring is a pleasure as it brings back the memories, especially when u save like hell for hop ups, watching your classmates feast like a King at tuck shop during recess, etc .....

I used to have a Optima Pro too, but sold it off for RM80 only...now come to think of it..argggghhhhh!!gotta miss all those chain drive thingy.....

i have the following in my collection..not as old as some of you guys though..

avante2001, top force, striker, bearhawk, williams f14, f40, amg mercedes 190e, pilot ford escort, 2 tamtechs and a f102..yet to get a body to restore it...guess it is mostly onroad cars for me...
