I just got the serpent tube set and am wondering how are you meant to shim the ballstuds with the on point racing conversion kit

I'm not sure Serpent's new Dampner Tubes will work on the On-Point chassis. If you have the On-Point chassis you will want On-Point's Dampner Tubes.

I have never put the serpent tubes on the on point chassis so the side to side movement I am not sure will let the pod move side to side. You may need to trim them if the pod side movement is not far enough. For shimming the ball studs 2-3mm on top of the cross brace and under the top deck should do it.

Back from a race meet, I finished 4th overall. The tubes fit with no problems and seemed like the side to side movement was not hindered by the tubes. (Only measure with eye, by comparing them off and on). Car was very easy to drive, almost too easy and lacked a little bit of turn in. This was with the on point conversion and serpent tubes.

There will be a conversion available from Serpent or parts separate.
Due in the UK 2nd October

The first batch of the updated S120L kit, the S120LT, is due to arrive at Serpent UK on 2nd October. The new kit features a damper tube style rear end instead of the previous monoshock design. The Serpent team have tested the new configuration extensively and find it to be more consistent and easier to fine tune than the previous design
