i want the stock fk04 chassis in particular (same chassis i have now), i guess the one you have is different. do you have pics?
Check this thread for pics http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...k04-parts.html and for parts in general. I've done some looking and the stock chassis is apparently hard to come by...it may be easier to find a roller than just the chassis!

Smoke...love it but...the air compressor is your friend!!

Idecided hey I have tons of nothing to do tonight, might as well try the shocks again.

Still gave up on them again. I don't no what it is about them. Guess I'm going to read a tutorial on Team Xray. Blast why couldn't you just keep them on your car when you sent it to me?

Cody, why can't it? The Quantum 2 can handle up to 8.4 volts a 2s Lipo is 7.4 volts

check page 406 of this thread...halfway down or so. I've tidied up the wiring a bit and added a transponder since those pics were taken. Maxamps makes a saddle pack lipo that will fit, and I'm pretty sure the SMC lipo saddle will too...may have to be taped in though.

The Quantum says only 4 to 7 or 8 cells. Something like that. I am going to try and look it up now. I also have a LRP IPC digital. Maybe that can handle a lipo!

The QC2 should run Lipo just fine, but it doesn't have a low voltage cut-off so you will have to be very aware of how long you have been running, and stop immediately when the power drops off...preferably before. Over-discharging is deadly for lipo's!

Sweet. Hey Flatspunout did you see the video I posted. thats how large the track is. It sorta give you a feel for it. That was an old layout though. I found a 86 tooth spur. Too small?

I'm going to take an educated guess and say start around a 6.25 FDR. Chris can probably help out with what spur to run and may have input on FDR as well...I have to run a 124 on my FK04 to get belt clearance but the 05 doesn't have this issue. Run for 2 or 3 minutes, pull the car off and put your thumb on the motor...if it is so hot you can't touch it for more than a second, go down 2 teeth on the pinion and try again...if you can leave your thumb on it for more than 5 seconds or so, go up 2 teeth on the pinion and try again. If you have a temp gun, the temp you are looking for is around 130 degrees give or take after a 5 minute race.

Hey Cody, I posted that T1 setup for you on the previous page, but just realised that your running an FK05 not an FK04. Anyway to answer your ? start with a 5.5 FDR and see how the temps are after 3-4 mins of running. I'm running a 4.6 but I use a heatsink with two fans on it as you can see in the pic below. As for the 86 spur, I've never tried one that small so you'll just have to see. As long as you have the proper pinions and nothing is rubbing or bound it should be fine.

Man I guess I really should read first, well in that case I'm not much help. I've been running brushless for over two yrs now and have forgotten any rollouts for brushed.
