How about putting the front camberlink on the bulkhead. How does this affect steering/front grip and how many spacers is the norm

Well, I'm not quite sure about doing them under the camber links, but I think it has something to do with roll centers...but once again, I'm not quite sure.

Putting spacers under the steering links on the front Hub Carriers is called "Bump Steer". You probably already know this though. It creates more bite up front (correct me if I'm wrong about the bite though).

P.S. Thanks Brian!

Putting spacers under the front or rear hub carrier ball ends will raise the roll center. This will make the roll of the car quicker in the corner.

Yes, slightly. It effects the amount of camber gain in the corner. But static camber will also be changed depending on the # of washers added, so check it.

So after adding spacers, affecting camber, you would have to re-set your camber...right?

Yes, but it shouldn't take more than a slight twist to reset.

Are these a worthwhile investment? Anyone using them?

Yeah, I know that, it wouldn't throw it off that much.

I have thought about it, and learned about roll centers more myself! If you just visualize some of this stuff, you can figure out what it changes, affects, and does!

If anyone needs, I think I can explain roll centers a little.

I use them when I run a spool. If you run a one-way then you shouldn't need them.

Putting spacers under the ball raises the ball and alters its curve in the arc of motion. There will be less camber movement in that curve.

Some people have them if you like a very direct feel of the car. The slightest inputs to the steering wheel and your car will respond.

Hello,

Can you explain all that you know about roll centers?

Comments from anyone is welcomed...I remembered reading an article on it but I confused myself and did not really get it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i use them with a oneway and it seems quite nice more onpower steering at the exit. one thing i noticed is that i didnt loose any initial turn-in with the car yet it gave me great exit steering.

hi guys. i've got a problem with my xray t1fk,
i've seen in the manual book , that the diameter of the middle shaft bearing was 6*10, but my bearing only 5.5*10
is that wrong from the factory or just my kit?
i use the caliper to count my middle shaft diameter was 6 mm
can anyone give me some advice?
or i must looking for a new bearing?
thank

The bearing that fits on the end is smaller than the one that fits near the spur gear. You probably just have them mixed up.

The bearing on the Spur side is 6 x 10.
The bearing opposite the spur is 5 x 9.

Check both bearings.
