Hey guys!

Andrew Swanson did a great job on running the T1 Raycer at the 4th Anuaul "SpeedWorld Cup" race in Roseville California. He took 3rd in the Expert Mod class, (1st place was Greg Hodapp, 2nd was Matt Francis), the car was pretty much stock out of the box, except of the following: Alu Shock body, and the bulk heads off the Evo 2.

Andrew thanks for the help over the weekend.

Rayhuang, which bulkheads are you running on you hybrid car T1R or EVO 2??? Looks to me that the T1R bulkheads are just about the same, am I missing something. Do you find one better for carpet than the other???

The Bulkheads are the same except finish. I also noticed that the cams forthe diff bearings are different. I think you move them opposite. I have to check my manuals again.

The EVO2 bulks are the same only not hard annodized aluminum...... The Duraluminum is quite strong enough that it doesn't need to be hard annodized.....

Strong it is....but the surface gets scratched really easily.

Joneser, I did similar to IMPACTPLAYR, but used an L shaped strip of lexan (waste from a body), and servotaped to the chassis. It's flexible enough to install the batteries with no problem, and so far no lost batteries. I lost two prior to the fix.

Some people have had that problem with the batts popping out, but only those that filed the edges of the batt slots. I noticed the problem after a couple of Xray drivers short circuited their batts. I decided not to file the edges and hadn't had a problem with the batts popping out.

Default 1.77 pullies

I got my 1.77 pulleys installed and yes-by god-the drivetrain is much freer!!! my 3mm belt was on back-order-so I am not getting the full effect!! But it is freer-no doubt.
I moved the eccentrics around quite a bit-based on where Neil and Ralph said to set-them, but I did go one looser front and rear as they felt too tight for stock racing, but-I could be wrong.
But-the front and rear belts are still as tight or tighter than how I had them before.

Just FYI-The belt tensioner has an amplified affect on the belt now. At its loosest position at applies more pressure on belt than the stock pulley set-up. I took mine off for now.
