They seem kinda cool, but they are a biznitch to build.

Cool

All shock leak a little and most of the time it is due to wear and tear or the user did not put the shock together properly.

It will pay off if you take your time and build it properly.

I have not had any problems with my xray shocks leaking, they seal very well with the stock bladders.

I like the xray shocks, I havent had them leak on me either. Coming over from the losi camp (insert boos here lol) I spent quite a bit of time on building the xray shocks, and they are just as solid as the losi shocks, although its quicker to redo the losi ones.

If anyone is running rubber tires on carpet I'd like to know your setup.

Yeah, but not much luck. I looked at some of the setups. Are there anymore their? Most say public. I may just copy Ralph Burch's setup.

How would the solid front axle work with the adjustable pulley. Handling characteristic. How would the handling be with the solid layshaft.

I didn't notice a difference b/w the solid layshaft and the one way layshaft. The only thing that would make a difference would be a lower rotating mass on the solid layshaft. As for the solid front axel, it suppose to act similar to a one way, but it really doesn't. It doesn't take a turn sharper than a one way, and there is some speed loss in cornering. Due to the extra drag, the batteries will drain a bit faster.

Well I run a solid front axle in my tc3, but it seems like it has a little give if I hit something. Where as using the solid layshaft and solid front axle won't give and the belt would skip. I'm just trying to decide whether to use the solid layshaft with the solid front axle or use the adjustable layshaft with the solid front axle. Or just use the original set up. Does the original setup work like a one-way.

Yes, but with diff action so in theory, it won't pull quite as hard through the corners as a front one way.

Experiment and run what works best for you and your driving style.

Well I'm going to have to run mod foams with it now. The speed control I was going to use did'n't have long enough wires. It was one of the fixed ones. So I put my cyclone in it instead. So I'll probably run the original set up with 2 diffs and the adjustable pulley. I noticed that the front belt rubs my motor slightly. I've never ran a belt car, so I don't know what tension the belt should be. Whats the best way to check?
