Best mid priced touring car?
I am an offroad guy who wants a nice touring car to race around my street at my house. I don't want to break the bank but I am one who believes in you get what you pay for. I don't want a car that I am going to be fixing all the time but don't want a $400-$500 kit either. What is the best all around "budget" touring car that is still great quality? I am not racing (except maybe the neighbors) mostly just bashing around teh street. Is the hot bodies cyclone S a decent car?

The Cyclone S is a great car. The Xray T2R is also an excellent car. It's a bit more costly then the Cyclone, but it's closer to a full on racing machine as well. Tamiya makes a bunch of really nice budget TCs as well.

i would go for a Tamiya TA05 ver2, costs around $200
you get alot of car for that price! and if you decide to drive it on a track someday it will not let you down for sure

Xray T2R pro edition... about 270-280 dollars.. same xray quality, great chassis!! same suspension material!! same bearings as the higher dollar edition..
great chassis meaning if all your doing is running in the street.....

Just get a TC3 or TC4 good all around car. It has a tub chassis so debree shouldnt be that big of a problem. Good luck

I'll say go with a TC4 they are pretty cheap for rollers and alot of parts available.

If you not running on a perfectly clean surface, get a shaft drive car like a TC4. Belt drives can get destroyed by the smallest peices of sand and gravel.

maybe i should ad that the ta05 is good for both mod and stock, i have driven my car with 4.5t motor and 2s lipo and it holds up well, i havent damaged anything yet!
i havent even seen the tb03 irl but if it holds up like the ta05 it should be a good choice as it has a closed drive train.
other than that the assoc. tc4 is a good choice, had one in the past and its a really nice car! not as durable and well handling as the ta05 ver2 but if its just for bashing you will get away with less money on the tc4
