Boosters are often required for servos and receivers, not necessarily the speed control itself. All of our controllers, both brush and brushless, have been designed to operate on low voltage.

We're probably just crack-potty enough to try......

Our PCB designer said she would start working on the Kinetic single cell board ASAP. Of course, we have to get the Kinetic products shipped first.

That must be a MEGA R/C scene you must have in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Check out the number of entries at the Regina WCICS. Pretty impressive if you ask me. I've been to major events overseas that haven't compared to what Saskatchewan had to offer.

I've been a loyal customer of NOVAK since I first started racing 10 years ago and never use any speedcontrol other NOVAK. I have been using GTB since it first came out all my buddies switch ESC and everyone is tellng me why i'm still using GTB that's has old technology. All I told them bar none NOVAK have the best customer service in the industry that's why I'm sticking with NOVAK no matter what and Walla my prayer have been answered with this new speedcontrol I've been telling my friends just wait and see NOVAK will surprise everyone with a New ESC....

The press release flyer I got from IHobby said it will have dynamic timing.

At my track it's split about 50/50 between Tekin and Novak, very few have LRP, and there 2 or 3 people running Mamba Max systems. I believe the onroad guys have more Tekin and a few more LRP people, and probably no Mama Max, but I'm and offroad guy... The Tekins have been showing their true colors with the boost in short course spec and limited 2wd buggy. The fastest guy in mod truck only uses a 10.5 but it runs like a 7.5 with the boost, so this will be great when it comes out. I will definitely have one by Christmas this year, especially with the low price tag. Way to go Novak, makes me proud to be running my GTB/5.5.

Looks like a really great speed control.I always knew novak was working on something like this. For the past year or 2 all i heard from people was "novak sucks they have all outdated stuff"Funny thing is i was still kickin there but with the gtx brushed!Once again novak raises the bar.I will defenetly be getting one for my car as soon as they come out.Go novak!

They have it on Novak's website, $209.99 for the esc or $284.99 with any ballistic motor.

Is it possible to explain a little bit more about the dynamic motor timing feature ? How does it work ? Does it only work in the top end ?

Is it the same as the boost/turbo function you hear talking about for other speed controllers ?

Would also like to know if it only works with high turn motor like a 10.5 turn or does it also have effect for low turn motors like a 3.5 turn ?

You don't need that sort of function with a 3.5T. It can already rev so high it will destroy the rotor.

In fact, you can explode the rotor on a 17.5 if you have enough boost/turbo and let the thing free-rev...
