While I understand that it can give you an idea of how efficient the esc is. And with that said they are all doing basically the same thing.

Ca where our track temp is usually 120*+. it gives the car good snap as well. if you are running 17.5 i have a killer set up let me know i will post up
I am running it in a TC. Right now the FDR of 5.71. I will have to try the current limiter. I know that I keep lowering the drive freq to give the car a little more punch out of the corners. I like the smooth power but the track I am running is a little short from corner to corner with a short 60 ft straight. I know I am a little over geared, but I can run this without problem with both the tekin and the mamba without getting into the 170F range. I will have to try the current limiter.

My link arrived today. I had some difficulty installing the software, but eventually got it.

Its a great way to program a speed control. I noticed my green brake light went away once I played with braking, but the action changed to how I wanted it, so I left it alone.

I mean this as a compliment for Novak. I'm not good with computers, and I dont care to be. Turn them on and they had better work...otherwise I throw them. I had no trouble changing values and applying them to the Kinetic.

Thank You for a great product. I was pulling wheelies with my sc10 and the 10.5 motor.

Macdude try this I think you will like it
ballistic 17.5
fdr 5.0
55 timing
no boost
30 or N on motor
start 7250
end 13500
limiter 3
custom thr curve default 2
min drive 15
drag brk 8
this gives the car lots of pop from corner to corner with a 17.5. with a 60 foot straight top end really isnt an issue and boost off keeps temps down. let me know if this helps.

reallY?? 5 fdr? I'm running tc at norcal hobbies and although it has a big streight with a 17.5 ballistic, I'm up to about 6.5fdr, 35*, with boost and 2 current limiter and I'm still too hot! Running out of smaller pinions!

your getting hot because your undergeared. undergearing will make a motor hot just like overgearing will.

yes 5.0 on the fdr. if you will notice i use the motors torque to get out of corners and my start rpm is higher than other speedos. with this set up i am using more gear and less timimg in the infield thus producing less heat. here is my email i can send you my exact set up file for norcal if you would like to try it. [email protected] i also run this set up at speedworld and no other car had the same grunt in the infield as mine

Yes, it does! I used these settings for a complexly unrelated use and they are very good. Thank You for posting them!

Yea, I used them in my sc10. Gearing is 75/25. There are so many adjustments possible that it becomes difficult to decide what to do.

The timing boost is amazing. My green brake light wont light up once I change the braking curves, but the brakes work very well, so no big deal.

Thanks, I will have to give this a try. The controller seems to have a lot of rip and I like that, so gearing in the 5 FDR range should work. I just wasn't sure if I needed to go that low. I don't have a pinion and spur combo that gets me to 5.0 yet. As with everyone else running in the 6-7 FDR. I have seen some even higher than 7 but I think that is just too extreme.

I worked on it a little today. Did not have a chance to try the 5.0 FDR, I did lower the on motor timing 1 tick mark. I am running a DUO 2. That seemed to help some.

with a Duo 2 make sure to temp often with these settings. the Ballistic motors seem to have more torq and easly pull these settings
