New T3 isn't with only minor changes like 008-009. It will be lipo ready - without lipo kit like on T2 platform. It'll have more steering and will be more stable.
That's everything I can say.
My opinion is that T3 will be out before Xmas.

I think you will find that it is quite true , Elliot Harper is his name and he from peterborough in the UK , he drives for Xray , I didnt see the car myself , i know he has a prototype of it , and it was all black parts and shaft drive , he also said he had used it briefly in testing and didnt like it compared to his 009

LOL! Paul Lemiuex had one at the US ROAR Paved Nationals last weekend and I can assure you it was not shaft drive. I personally held the car in my hands and it had 2 belts. Also, I'm pretty sure Drew knows what he's talking about with this car as he has been driving for RC America/Xray pretty much for as long as they have been in existence.

Why doesn't anyone have pics if the car has been in hand?

This article would suggest the '009 was used at ROAR.

of course it was. the very guys who placed and even won championships last wk are telling you what went down. that paul had a prototype that he was going over and that they were runnin 009s.

When your newly crowned Super Stock National Champion tells you he held the car and looked it over and voiced what it was and was not, perhaps you all should listen.

I'm excited to hear officially that the new car is coming out.. but I know the T2'008/009 are still solid race cars. I don't think I'll ever part with my '008.

AMEN!!! Can't believe that some people will not trust anyone.
I think Robbie Dodge and Drew Ellis know what the car looks like!
Oh yeah while I'm at it---Congrats Robbie on your win!!!!
Like I said earlier, Drew is building his today at the local carpet track to run in a club race tomorrow. It has NO SHAFT!!!! I repeat NO SHAFT!!
I don't think XRay will ever make a shaft 1/10 TC. Not to say they haven't tested it.

Perhaps it will come in both belt and shaft drive? Kinda like a TRF416/EVO V MS? With brushless motors shaft drive is probably a lot less of an issue.

Are you sure it wasn't an M18 you were looking at All joking aside, we can sit here on our computers arguing about shaft or belt till the cows come home. Can we let it be for now and when Xray releases more info we can come back and say "told you so" to who was wrong.

A prototype could have had a shaft...but it's a prototype. Until it hits production it's not the T3.
