This car will add .5 to 1 second onto your lap times on asphalt or carpet the spool is very universal.
I just can't picture composite outdrives holding up well (see the Photon), but I have full faith in Xray.

There is an option for aluminum drive cups with blades if you prefer since the 008 - I just never had a problem with the composite ones and they are lighter. I only had to replace the cups twice over a season. Not too bad for wear.

Despite the fact that the outdrives are basically plastic, they hold up far better than you might imagine (this was a worry for me when I first started using Xray)

I have been told that they are a lot less likely to break if you use 52mm driveshafts in them, and they give more steering than the alloy outputs. (in fact they are heavier than the alloy outputs which shows how strong they are!)

Two T3 drivers at our weekend series had a screw rip through their chassis where the new pivot blocks screw down...

Great design xray

Any more details you'd care to share?

Enough to make him change back to his 009

The other guy kept using his just without the screw.... still it's not the point..

It shouldn't happen in the first place, esp when you pay xrays stupidly high prices..

I'd have expected optimized holes to prevent thing!!

The optimized holes are just fine. I'd say it was your 2 racers un-optimized driving that's the problem.

I don't think I am following you correctly. How could he possible run the car without the screw? We are talking about the aluminum standoffs that the hinge pin holders attach to, correct?

Agreed Nick Priest,
You pay $150.00 more than another manufacturer kit because the X ray is OPTIMIZED.
