I don't get it.. that's geared taller than 21.5 guys. I was geared at 3.67 today, and the motor was coming off the track screaming hot. I don't think I can even gear that tall without changing to a different spur..hhmm..

With the HT stator/rotor combo I was geared at 53/94. Motor was coming off at 140deg.

With the RPM stator/rotor combo geared at 49/94 and was nearly the same.

Preferred the RPM honestly. Had a very nice, smooth powerband.

Yup:

HT: 94/53 * 1.9 internal ratio = ~ 3.37
RPM: 94/49 * 1.9 internal ratio = ~ 3.65

So I heard that Fantom does a military discount...how do you go about setting this up if so. I have an account on their site and emailed them my info from my military email address a couple weeks ago but haven't heard anything...and they don't seem to pick up their phone when calling. Thanks!

Jeff is a busy guy, and he handles the emails and phones, solely. He'll get back to you. Call back when you get a chance, and leave a voicemail.

Well, you are certainly right. I geared my torque/torque apex2 all the way up to a 3.4 today, and the motor really came alive. I think I can go up a tiny bit more to 3.3 or 3.35... I can't believe how tall you gear this stator/rotor combo!

Motor was really fast.

On the apex2, they are directly marked... so 60 is marked with a "60". 55 is the tick to the left of that (unmarked), and then to the left of that is marked "50". Most guys are running 55 to 60.
