Default Lipo Balancing question.

I have a Orion 3s Carbon edition lipo for my scaler and have a question about balancing for it. I finally found a balancing adapter for my hyperion that works for it (its made by pro-teck). Now my question is, on the lipo battery, there is 2 balancing ports. A port A and a port B. There is the two balancing wires that come off the adapter (a red and a black) port B is on the posative side of the battery while the A is on the negative side.. I plugged the red balancing wire in port B and the black on port A. With this setup it should charge and balance at the same time. But while I do this, it never seems to end. I let it charge/balance for over 3 hours and it still was going. Its a 3500mah lipo, so I know it shouldnt take that long.. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appriciated. I can take pictures if needed.

Umm... It's kind of silly how they label the ports A and B and not the polarity. I would check the polarity of the ports with a multimeter. But it sounds like the balance pins are in the wrong ports if it is not charging after 3 hours.
