The problem with mounting all the components on the center line is that the servo is almost always off-center and in some rearpods the motor is also. Just mount the components so that the chassis is in balance.

You can get dampertubes from: BMI, Speedmerchant, CRC, Corally, Serpent, Xray, On-Point.

Most 12th. scale cars work with tubes so finding them would not be so hard.

I can't get the credits. It was a group project from Pro Ten Holland with 2-3 other drivers back in the day. I got the chassis for cheap, cleaned it up and changed the aluminium parts with crc parts. (it had different colors and screw sizes) Pro Ten Holland has it with blue associated parts instead of crc parts.

It is an older idea to be honest. I have seen drivers use it years ago overhere. RC Devil has made it an option part for their cars. DIY is part of the fun and cost around 3 euro.

This idea is a little difficult to use with an excisting chassis that don't have multiple shock attachement points. The shock will get longer and most chassis aren't designed for that.

Setting droop is a breeze.

Another simple idea. On my L2 i use the original asso strut suspension. Setting caster was a real chore as i had to rebuild 50% of the front end to get one shim in another place. I swapped one shim out for a caster clip from the rc10r5 (the thin one). It is a direct fit. Setting caster on the old dynamic strut suspension is a breeze now as well.

It's indeed the little things that makes life so much easier.

Very nice shell. I tried closed wheels in a Nissan P35 200 mm bodyshell version for my Corally a year ago and I prefer the opened rear wheels now, not a great advance and paint in that part got off with the rear wheels.

Cancun Tom

I've been working on this chassis for a few months now. I've owned it since '93 and brought it with me to Cancun when my wife and I retired here 4 years ago. Just this past January a small RC club here found me through a posting I made on this forum long ago. So now that I have a place and a RC club I have dug out my old stuff. I'm enjoying racing my TC3 and my ancient RC10L. I bought a body for it as you can see in the pictures. I've also been trying different things with the chassis. I've bought all new electronics and LiPo's for them and am trying to regain my driving skills. We don't have any hobby shops here in Cancun so we must buy on-line. I use HobbyKing, Tower, and A main mostly.

Great to read you've come back after retirement, being at the start of my racing history I hope to not leave, but we'll see what's dealt to me.
Those tyres look to be rubber, are they? Can you still get them and from where?
