Default My RS4 Evo Project

I FINALLY got it almost finished today.

I need new shiny rims, and I was thinking of LED lights too.

This was my first junk roller -> fully functional project.
It was my first body paint and cut out, as you can probably tell.
Not too awfully worried though, it will go by too quickly to notice

Main things I did other than pick up stock replacement parts so far is..
HPI nitro star 25
Spectrum receiver

I need to figure out something with the fuel tank, the 75cc isn't cutting it.
It's empty in less than 5 minutes lol

I'm sure I'll get better as I do more, but this is my first and I'm excited.
I've already shown my wife like 4 times, so now I'm telling everyone here.

What do you think?

that car looks sharp with that body and with the engine sticking out of it! looks really cool! did that motor just bolt right in? or did you have to make custom mounts for it??

It ALMOST lined up
I used the engine mounts made for that motor, so they didn't line up with the chassis holes. Nothing that a couple minutes with the drill press couldn't fix. heh

I took it out the other night.... it was fun fun fun

The video isn't the greatest, it was a little too dark and my camera man is a newb

You didn't hear it shift...... 'cause it didn't.
That was the first time I had taken it out, it was too dark to try to fix it. Can't really drive it in front of the house due to the noise and the fact that my street is too short hehe Maybe I'll get a chance to do it this weekend

The body is a Lamborghini Gallardo
HPI Part #7489
pretty slick looking, eh?

Nice build. Get that shift point set and 2nd gear will be sick. Here is mine w/ a moddded Picco P9R/JP-4 combo. I broke all the dogbones, snapped all the axles and bent a few cups before upgrading the complete drivetrain. I also modded the chassis to run the tallest pinion and spurs HPI makes.

that looks sweet.
I like the zip tie on the pipe, I used another header spring to pull mine up..... after melting halfway through the arm lol

I'm definitely needing some upgrades on the parts, things just fall off as it goes down the road ha
